We require current proof of the following vaccines before we can confirm your stay at the ranch:

• Rabies

• Distemper/Parvo

• Bordetella

• Canine Influenza

Any guests arriving without current vaccination records will be turned away.

All first-time guests are required to complete a daycare evaluation day before their first stay. The cost is $30 for a social evaluation or $35 for a non-social evaluation.

Our evaluation process helps us understand your dog’s temperament, comfort level, and personality so we can ensure they are placed in the safest, most enjoyable environment possible. Because our facility is fast-paced and highly interactive, this day allows us to assess how well your pup adjusts to our routine, staff, and playgroups.

During the evaluation:

• Evaluations are offered Monday–Friday only

• Drop-off is between 7:00–9:00 AM

• We’ll ask you a few questions about your dog’s background and behavior

• Dogs are introduced slowly, beginning on leash and meeting one dog at a time

• Once your pup is comfortable, they are gradually introduced to an appropriate playgroup

• Our team monitors their behavior throughout the day both in the yard and in the kennel area

• Pick-up is between 3:00 PM and 6:30 PM

For dogs who are unable to safely participate in group play, we may offer non-social accommodations based on availability. These options may include one-on-one time with a pet care professional and may require an additional fee.

At East Side Pet Ranch, we’re committed to providing every dog and cat with safe, attentive, and individualized care. Whether your pet is energetic and easygoing or requires a little extra support, we strive to make their stay as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

We’re happy to follow your pet’s regular diet, administer medications, maintain routines, and support pets with mild to moderate special care needs.

For pets who are senior/geriatric (12+ years) or have certain medical or behavioral considerations, we may be able to provide additional support such as:

• Multiple or time-sensitive medications

• Mobility assistance or stability support (limited)

• Monitoring for stable, chronic conditions

• Extra potty breaks or modified activity levels (for dogs)

• Temperature or environmental sensitivities

• Behavioral or cognitive changes associated with aging

• Litter box adjustments or special handling needs (for cats)

Because these guests require additional time, monitoring, and staff involvement, a daily special-care fee may apply. Accommodations are offered on a case-by-case basis and depend on staffing and our ability to safely meet each pet’s needs.

Please note: While we do our best to accommodate pets with additional needs, we are not a medical boarding facility. We are unable to provide intensive medical care, continuous monitoring, or strict isolation from other pets. For pets with significant medical conditions, immune compromise, or those advised by their veterinarian to avoid boarding environments, in-home care or a specialized medical boarding facility may be the safest option.

All elderly pets (12+), medically compromised pets, or pets with conditions that significantly impact mobility, behavior, or immune function will require a Special Care Waiver prior to their stay.

To help us provide the best care possible, please include detailed instructions when booking. The more we know, the better we can tailor their experience and keep them comfortable throughout their stay. 💙🐾

Regular Boarding Cancellation Policy

For standard (non-holiday) boarding reservations, we kindly ask for advance notice if your plans change.

• Cancellations made with 48+ hours’ notice: No fee

• Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice: We reserve the right to charge up to 50% of the total boarding cost (not to exceed $50)

This helps us manage staffing, kennel availability, and waitlisted guests—especially during busier seasons.

Holiday & Peak Period Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to reservations that fall over holiday or peak dates (such as Spring Break, Memorial Day Weekend, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and similar high-demand periods):

• 72+ hours’ notice (3+ days before your reservation): No fee

• 25–71 hours’ notice (1–2 days before your reservation): $50 cancellation fee

• Less than 24 hours’ notice (same day or no-show): $100 cancellation fee

Please note: Cancellation fees are determined at the facility’s discretion and may vary based on individual circumstances (such as emergencies or last-minute schedule changes beyond your control).

If your dogs are able to comfortably share the same run, we’re happy to offer a discounted rate for multi-pet families. The first dog is charged at the full boarding rate, and each additional dog staying in the same run receives 50% off the nightly rate. This helps keep bonded pets together while also providing added value for households with more than one pup.

To maintain a safe and balanced play environment, all dogs 18 months of age or older are required to be spayed or neutered before attending daycare or boarding. Females in heat cannot stay or participate in group play, and if a female enters her heat cycle while boarding with us, we will contact the owner and request prompt pick-up.

To ensure the safety of all dogs and staff, all dogs participating in daycare or boarding are required to wear a properly fitted collar while in our care.

We accept standard flat collars (buckle or quick-release) and martingale collars. For safety reasons, prong collars, choke chains, and harnesses are removed upon arrival and are not permitted during group play.

Collars remain on during playgroups to allow for safe and immediate handling if needed.

We recommend bringing a dedicated collar for daycare or boarding use if your pet does not typically wear one at home.

If a proper collar is not provided at drop-off, we are happy to supply one for your pet:

• $1/day for boarding stays

• $5/day for daycare visits
